SDI Technical Specs v1.9.1 — Effective May 15, 2026
Italian tax authority released updated SDI specifications (v1.9.1) effective May 15, 2026. New SDI check error code 00327 (rejects invoices with incorrectly indicated VAT Group tax codes), expanded WS/SFTP accreditation (service providers can now request up to 300 recipient codes, was 100), and new ESENZSPORT code for sports-worker tax-exempt regime (≤€15,000/year).

UBL & CII validation artefacts v1.3.16 shipped April 10, 2026. Implements updated April code lists and corrects existing validation rules. Builds on EN 16931-1:2026 (definitive text March 18). The 2026 revision is NOT backward compatible — it introduces new business terms, modified validation rules, and updated UBL and UN/CEFACT CII syntax bindings. ERP pipelines running pre-1.3.16 Schematron may produce invoices that pass locally but fail at access-point validation.
Connecting Europe Facility — eInvoicingPeppol G2 to G3 Certificate Hard Cutover
The Peppol G2 trust chain was revoked April 1, 2026. Any access point that has not migrated to G3 PKI is now offline. ERP vendors should verify that their Peppol service provider has completed the migration; pre-cutover access points cannot deliver outbound documents.
OpenPeppolPoland KSeF Phase 2 — All VAT-Registered Entities Mandatory
From April 1, 2026, KSeF applies to all VAT-registered entities in Poland not already covered by the February 1, 2026 large-taxpayer wave. This includes SMEs, sole proprietors, and VAT-exempt businesses with B2B obligations. Consumer (B2C) and intra-EU sales remain out of scope. FA(3) XML schema is mandatory; financial penalties (up to 100% of VAT) take effect January 1, 2027.

Following the end of the six-month grace period on March 31, 2026, Belgium's graduated penalty regime is now in force: €1,500 first offense, €3,000 second offense, €5,000 third and subsequent offenses per non-compliant invoice. Exceptions remain for documented force majeure and technical outages.
